SHABURI, Japanese Shabu Shabu Restaurant

Lately me and hubby loved to eat all you eat dining. We've known Shaburi since it first open at their 1st branch at Pacific Place Mall. We use to eat Shaburi with our good dear friend. Wish we could back to that time. Now, since Shaburi opened their branch at Kota Kasablanka we're so excited because it more close to home. With hungry tummy, we don't to have queuing about an hour. Yeeaahh... its weekend and its dinner time.

What I like about dine at Shaburi is we can get our own pot for our soup. So if you eat with your friends or family, you can have a different kind of soup and you can try each other.

You can choose 4 kind of all you can eat package that you can choose.

• Beef Shabu-Shabu - IDR 158.000 Senior / Kids IDR 89.000
• Special Beef Shabu-Shabu - IDR 228.000 Senior / Kids IDR 131.000
• Shaburi Wagyu Shabu-Shabu - IDR 318.000 Senior / Kids IDR 179.000
• Special Wagyu Shabu-Shabu - IDR 428.000 Senior / Kids IDR 239.000

If you already buy one of the package, you still can buy other meat outside your package for certain price. For example if you already buy the Beef Shabu-Shabu, you still can buy the Wagyu also. Shaburi Wagyu Shabu-Shabu IDR 35.000/plate and Special Wagyu Shabu-Shabu IDR 69.000/plate.

Or if you can't manage the all you can eat menu, Shaburi also have other package menu. That consist Meat (1 or 2 plate) also include unlimited vegetables, drink and dessert.

Shaburi also have some of Dashi Soup that you choose: Original Konbu Soup, Hot Miso Soup, Chicken Collagen Paitan, Sukiyaki, Soy Milk Miso Soup and the newest one is Curry. Every soup have its own character. And its fit with the meat. My favorite is the curry, which is not too thick but have a splendid flavor, and other Hot Miso Soup. Even basically I love all the taste of the soup. LOL...

All the side dish and other Buffet menu is also good to try. Don't missed their Sushi and Karage. Love it when I dip it in the Shaburi special sauce. There are Gomadare (Sesame Sweet Tare), Genghis Khan Sauce (Japanese Fruity Tare) dan Ponzu (Japanese Traditional Tare). Hubby tried to mix the 3 of the sauce and it turn out to be good.

The price that you paid is already include drinks and dessert. From hot to cold, from tea to coffee are available in the drink counter.

Spare your tummy for dessert. Shaburi have two type of Ice Cream, The milky one and the yogurt. If you think that you already full wit tons of  food earlier, perhaps you can choose their yogurt. But if you still can manage the ice cream, don't missed the chocolate one. Its so good.

At the end, I had a great dinner here with hubby. 1 hour is worth to wait. I guess 90 minutes is enough for us to have dine here. It enough make us can't get our ass up from the chair LOL... Surely we'll comeback here again and again.

Celebrate your Valentines Day at OH LA LA

For you who love to eat fresh bread and cake, you must know about Oh La La. So I think I don;t have to introduce it to you again aight? Because I can't wait to spread to you the scrumptious menu. With a French Casual Dining, Oh La La offered us not only a good place to dine but also a good food for you too choose.

Placed in Kota Kasablanka,   Oh La La has 40 seat capacity for outdoor and 35 capacity for indoor. If you not smoking, better you seat indoor. But if you don't mind with smoke, you can seat outside and can see Kasablanka street for the view.

We can peek their kitchen behind this frame. It just like a moving painting aight?

Like I mentioned earlier above, I'll spread you Valentines Day Package that Oh La La have. They have a very fantastic offer this time. APPETIZER

Baked potato jacket that served with chilli con carne, Mozzarella Stick with Marinara Sauce that really really when it's warm so we still can taste the melted mozzarella in our mouth then the last is the Gratin Chicken Avocado with barbeque sauce that be my most like from the appetizer plate that day.

MAIN COURSE

PAN SEARED DORY PRIMAVERA
Pan Seared Dory Primavera served with Pesto Spaghetti. The spaghetti cooked aldente and the dory fish fillet also tender and not fishy. I like well balance from the marinara sauce. It taste a bit tangy from the tomato and a bit spicy.

ROAST CHICKEN SCALOPPINI POTATO and RATATOUILLE
Roast Chicken is so tender. The taste is decent. The skin is crisp and the sauce soak well into the chicken. The ratatouille a bit overcooked but still taste good. Mix well with the scaloppini that taste a bit bland. Overall this roasted chicken quite good.

BEEF WELLINGTON with SCALLOP POTATO and MIX VEGETABLE
A dish that consist of sirloin beef and fried mushroom poured with gravy sauce. Served with potato that filled with scallop and ratatouille.
The appearance to me is more look like a beef pastry than the beef wellington I usually eat and see. But this one taste pretty good. The is tender and the pastry quite moist. It crisp in the outside. But there's something from the pastry that missing. Not too fluffy in the inside.

Looks like Oh La La don't have any standard for each menu consistency.  Because when I asked my friend in the different table, some said the Beef Wellington was tender and other said it was chewy and not nice. That also happened with the Roast Chicken, in our table the taste is nice but my friend's chicken  taste a bit salty.

But overall, the main course served was decent and quite good to try.

DESSERT

ASSORTED SLICE OF CAKE
Lemon & Peach Cake taste good. Not too sweet, pretty moist, but the weird thing is, why they put blueberry sauce as a mix. It would be great if they put lemon or peach sauce.
Opera Cake taste nice. Moist and smooth. The layer is good. Really melt in my mouth
Strawberry Shortcake taste pretty good. The cheese filling quite nice. But the cake not too fluffy.

Overall, Oh La La still on the track to serve their yummy and scrumptious menu. So many selection of cakes, cookies, bread or any main course that can make your drooling. Just prove it  by yourself.

Kenny's Chicken Teriyaki at Kenny Rogers Roasters

After my last visit to Kenny Rogers Roasters for Xmas & New Year new menu, I've got a chance again  to try another menu from Kenny Rogers Roasters.

In celebrating Chinese New Year 2014, Kenny Rogers launched their new menu. it's Kenny's Chicken Teriyaki and 2 freshening drink to accompany your meal.  If you feeling weird why they launch Japanese food in Chinese New Year, well.... so do I hehe... Since it's seasonal menu, so you really have to try this. Enjoy Kenny's Chicken Teriyaki Chicken start from 27 January 20014 until 16 March 2014. Mark your calendar y'll.

The new menu launched at Kota Kasablanka branch. Me and hubby several times eat in this place. Pretty convy, eventhough sometime it can be a bit crowd when we sit in outdoor area.

Kenny's Chicken Teriyaki
IDR 65.000

1/4 Roasted Chicken Leg wrapped in special teriyaki sauce served with mushroom soup, aromatic rice and your choice of muffin.
Never judge by its appearance. As you see in the picture above, the appearance not look tempting and beautiful to bring your appetite to come. Because they need to wrapped the chicken with cooking paper when they roasted it, so that the teriyaki sauce soak into the chicken. Well, when I taste it, it really marinated well. The teriyaki sauce really soak in to the whole chicken. Even to the bone! The chicken served tender. It served with aromatic rice that cooked well ( my friend Yenny, so happy see that rice LOL), mushroom soup, that I wish could served warm, and muffin. I choose banana muffin from 3 selected choice of muffin. This menu enough to make my tummy full to the max.

Kenny Rogers also served Kenny's  Chicken Teriyaki for family package.  You can have Kenny's Chicken Teriyaki - Take Home Feast with only IDR 499.000. You already get 6 portion  of Kenny's  Chicken Teriyaki, 6 side dish, 6 orange juice and 6 home-made muffin. Isn't that great?

Grappy Blast - IDR 33.000

Grappy Blast is a mix between honey citrus and grape. They brag to me that once I drink this Grappy Blast, you wont stop. Well, they prove it right. I like the consistency of the honey citrus and grape with a twist a little bit of soda. It blend so well so it make the sour and sweet mix together.

Tropical Paradise - IDR 33.000

A mix between pineapple, orange and strawberry splash. It also make sour and sweet mix together. I think the strawberry syrup more dominated in this drink. But it still freshening also.

Scoop Bar Ice Cream

One more a place for a dessert lover. Invited to the opening of ice cream and cookies store in Kota Kasablanka made so exciting. Curious because, I'd like to find out what make it different than other ice cream store. So here I go with some several mates at Lower Ground Kota Kasablanka Mall.

The place is not too spacious. They just have a view seat. Well, since it's dessert with hand size, you can just take away your order. Dominated with black and white, Scoop Bar want to take all different market, woman and man. The place pretty eye-catching though. With many cute cartoon picture.

In Scoop Bar, they allowed us to build our own Sandwich Ice Cream based on cookies and ice cream that we like. You just need to pay IDR 30,000 and you can get Ice Cream sandwich that you build. How fun is that huh??  Just follow below step...

Scoop Bar guaranty that they only served fresh baked cookies every day. No wonder, when I ate that, it feel crunchy and yummy. I want to loaded my jar with it... Here are some cookies that served in Scoop Bar:

Entering Scoop Bar, we served with so many cute and colorful cookies. All made me drooling. It felt like, I'm a little kids with their toys hohoho...

My creation on Ice Cream. I like the cookies. But the banana not too pop-out in the ice cream

Smores Cookies – Rum Raisin Ice Cream – Almost Red Velvet Cookies
Me like this creation. S'mores Cookies that topped with marshmallow is so yummy and also the almost red velvet cookies. All that combine with rum raisin ice cream. Love it!

A simple thing comes from the ordinary things too. A simple vanilla ice cream combine with the chocolate chip cookies.

I forgot that I already build my own sandwich with the same taste hohooho... The different is the cookies whole from matcha. Well, I don't mind. Since I love their matcha cookies.

Very Fun Stuff - Funfetti Cookies with Strawberry Ice Cream

The appearance is really girly aight? Like it's name, colorful sprinkle cookies with strawberry ice cream that I think the taste was just okay.

The Gentlemen's Breakfast - Waffles with Mocha Ice Cream

From the appearance, the waffle looks so tough. Well, it pictures it's name, The Gentlemen. But, when we eat it, it's like blend with the ice cream. It become soft, a bit chewy but good in mouth. Perfect pair with the mocha.

Its Dalmatian - Oreo Cookies with Cookies n' Cream Ice Cream
Cookies meet cookies. It's good together. Cookies 'n Cream ice cream taste not too sweet, which is good. So it good when it paired with the bittersweet oreo cookies.

Brown Spider: Sarsapilla with chocolate Scoop

Royal Blush: Fanta with vanilla scoop.

This Floats like other Floats that you often seen in many restaurants. But for me, the Royal Blush taste more freshening. The presentation not as pretty as their ice cream.
