Cake A Boo - Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK)

So many dessert cafe lately in Jakarta. After visiting Shirayuki we planned that we must visit Cake-a-boo also. Stalked on their instagram, it really caught my eyes. They have a very cute and adorable concept for both their restaurant and cakes selection.

We came to Cake-A-Boo around 3pm and its rainy. When we arrived, the restaurant that have to spacious area already full packed. So we have queue to get our seat. Finally we got a seat infront of the conveyor. Yes, cake-a-boo has a conveyor like in Sushi Restaurant. So we can pick the cake that we want straight from the coonveyor.

When 1st entering the Cake-a-Boo restaurant, i can't stand on my eyes capturing every single details in the room. It so playful and colorful. So eye-catching.

Look at the interior, surely I have a very high expectation on their menu. Plus see the presentation of their cakes, that really makes me drooling.

MIKO'S CAKE - IDR 35.000
Caramel mousse, crunchy caramel, melted salted 
I like the combination between caramel and chocolate. Even though both sweet, but its not too overwhelmed. And I guess Cake-a-Boo already adjust the sweetness so I don't feel it too sweet. The saltiness from the salted caramel make the caramel more tasty.

 
RASPUNZEL - IDR 35.000
Raspberry mousse infused with pistachio brulee
A very pretty and girly cake comes from Raspunzel. So beautiful with a fondant bow on top. Anything goes sour, it worked with me. And knowing it paired with the pistachio cream, make it balance between sweet and sour. Love it. 

NUTELLA BURGER - IDR 35.000 
Red velvet burger bun filled with nutella patty and assorted fruits. 
Love the nutella patty. The combination of rice crispy with the nutella is so addictive. The strawberry balance the sweetness from the nutella patty. However,   I don;t like the bun that made from red velvet. It so dry and not  moist. Really need improvement in it.

CAPPUCCINO BRULEE - IDR 29.000
This coffee is to sweet for my liking. I wonder if the coffee less sweet to make a balance from the sweetness of the sugar caramel on top.

Overall, I'm pretty impress with Cake-a-Boo. Still curious with their other menu. They also serve cake in big version in case you want to have your birthday cake here. Because Cake-a-Boo still new joint in town, just get prepare with the long queue. Specially on the weekend. But don;t worry, the service is really quick and very informative.

Magnum Cafe

A view days ago, me & my girls craving some ice cream. Make me mouthwatering in this very hot days imagining ice cream. Then suddenly we already in Grand Indonesia 6th Floor for Magnum Cafe.

After a very long queue, finally the waitress called our names. We seated in a chair new the door that we can see outdoor view. Very crowded with so many visitors that day. Luckily no smoking area in this place. Sitting in outdoor would be nice if choose in the evening. You can see city view from the outside area. Indoor area also so excited. With chocolate, candy, ice cream and fondue in one spot... Uuumm it kinda remembering me with the movie Charlie and the chocolate factory.

So drooling with their menus. And here what we ordered...

Wafel D'Antwerp IDR 39.000

Wafel D'Antwerp is one of Magnum's signature dish.  It's a Belgian waffle with chocolate truffle magnum sticks, dark chocolate shavings and cherry compote. The sour from the cherry balance the sweetness from the ice cream. I just wish the waffle served a bit warm and more fluffy.

Wafel De Brussels IDR 39.000

Wafel De Brussels is a Belgian waffle with coconut cream, vanilla magnum sticks, caramel sauce, roasted banana brulee and strawberry compote. All sweetness in one plate. From the caramel sauce, the banana brulee like deep in the caramelize sugar which I like. Only the sourness from the strawberry compote balance it all. The waffle not too fluffy.

The Grand Gaufre IDR 39.000

The Grand Gaufre is a crispy Belgian Waffles with vanilla and chocolate magnum sticks and melted milk chocolate. Actually nothing special from this Grand Gaufre. But the crispy waffle taste good. It's crispy, pour with melted chocolate and topped with peanut crumbs.

Overall, Magnum totally my lil' playground. The service also fast enough. Maybe next time I will try to come at the evening, so can sit in outside.

Cheese Cake Factory - Not Just a Cake

Nowadays, Cheese Cake Factory have many branch that can reach your location. From those branch, I often go to Cikini and Tebet branch. Saya mengenal Cheese Cake Factory sudah cukup lama. Udah kaya sahabat aja hohoho... Cheese Cake Factory 1st I know was located in a small store near SMU 26 still in Tebet. Di ruko gitu rada masuk ke dalam with a small signboard also. Now they developed into a big cake shop.

Cikini branch punya store yang cukup luas. Terbagi atas 2 level. First level terdapat deretan display roti, kue dan ice cream. Dengan tempat yang lumayan luas, memudahkan pelanggan untuk memilih kue-kue dengan leluasa. Untuk Tebet branch, tempat nya lebih kecil. Split in 3 level (if i can say that0> Mungkin karena keterbatasan tempat juga, jadi tekstur bangunan nya seperti berundak-undak. Jika sedang ramai pengunjung sedikit sulit untuk memilih cakes. Tempat parkir yang tersedia juga sangat sempit. Only max 7 cars. Yaa sejago-jagi nya tukang parkir nya aja deehh... Ke dua cabang tersebut ada area outdoor nya. Kalo sedang mampir kesini sore hari coba deh di outdoor. Tapi sayang maintenance outdoor nya ga se-oke indoor nya. Kursi yang terbuat dari rotan itu, seringkali terlihat masih berdebu.

Soal makanan, Cheese Cake Factory mempunyai menu yang beragam. Mulai cake, burger, pasta, soup salad and pastries.

Chicken sandwich

This chicken sandwich porsi nya lumayan mengenyangkan. Daging ayam nya di goreng tepung dengan homemade sauce (yang seperti nya made from tomato). Disajikan bersama french fries dan salad.

Fettuccine Mushroom (45k)

Fettuccine Mushroom taste really great. Tekstur Fettuccine nya kenyal, cream sauce nya pas, means tidak terlalu kental dan juga tidak terlalu encer. Ditambah dengan jamur dan kacang polong, it suit for Veggie peoples.

Lasagna

What I loved about this Lasagna was beside the taste was great, they give generous sauce. Setiap layer Lasagna nya di penuhi irisan daging yang empu. Kulit Lasagna nya juga lembut, plus the melted cheese on top make me want to eat more and more yuummm...

Chicken Cordon Bleu

Chicken Cordon Bleu di Cheese Cake Factory berbetuk agak lonjong. Merupakan daging ayam yang berisi lapisan daging asap dan melted cheese. Disajikan bersama fettuccine dan salad. Surely u feel full oaded after meal. The taste was good. The chicken texture was crisp outside and tender inside.

Untuk sekedar cemal cemil, Cheese Cake Factory juga menyediakan beberapa pilihan yang hard to resist.

Nachose

 Nachose taste so so. Fried corn tortilla chips with bolognaise beef on top. Served with chili corn carne sauce

Buffalo wings (35k) & Fried Mushroom (38k)

Buffalo Chicken Wings taste good. Disajikan dengan barbeque sauce. 1 porsi berisi 5 pieces buffalo wings. Fried Mushroom really juicy. I kinda like this side dish. Tektur jamur nya masih fresh  Meanwhile the skin was really crisp. Disajikan dengan tartar sauce.

Chocolate Cake

This Chocolate Cake was so great. For those choco lover gonna love this cake. Chocolate Cake disajikan with chocolate sauce. Pour it on top your cake... dijamin makan nya bisa sampe keje-kejep like me *blushing*

Cheese Cake Factory juga menyediakan alcohol drink. from wine to liqueur. Taste great for after meal.

Overall, I love dine in Cheese Cake Factory. This was somekind a 1 shop store. Often buy cakes also when there's someone get birthday. The price also still reasonable. With a great service start when we come in 'till the end. Worth ti try
