SHABURI, Japanese Shabu Shabu Restaurant

Lately me and hubby loved to eat all you eat dining. We've known Shaburi since it first open at their 1st branch at Pacific Place Mall. We use to eat Shaburi with our good dear friend. Wish we could back to that time. Now, since Shaburi opened their branch at Kota Kasablanka we're so excited because it more close to home. With hungry tummy, we don't to have queuing about an hour. Yeeaahh... its weekend and its dinner time.

What I like about dine at Shaburi is we can get our own pot for our soup. So if you eat with your friends or family, you can have a different kind of soup and you can try each other.

You can choose 4 kind of all you can eat package that you can choose.

• Beef Shabu-Shabu - IDR 158.000 Senior / Kids IDR 89.000
• Special Beef Shabu-Shabu - IDR 228.000 Senior / Kids IDR 131.000
• Shaburi Wagyu Shabu-Shabu - IDR 318.000 Senior / Kids IDR 179.000
• Special Wagyu Shabu-Shabu - IDR 428.000 Senior / Kids IDR 239.000

If you already buy one of the package, you still can buy other meat outside your package for certain price. For example if you already buy the Beef Shabu-Shabu, you still can buy the Wagyu also. Shaburi Wagyu Shabu-Shabu IDR 35.000/plate and Special Wagyu Shabu-Shabu IDR 69.000/plate.

Or if you can't manage the all you can eat menu, Shaburi also have other package menu. That consist Meat (1 or 2 plate) also include unlimited vegetables, drink and dessert.

Shaburi also have some of Dashi Soup that you choose: Original Konbu Soup, Hot Miso Soup, Chicken Collagen Paitan, Sukiyaki, Soy Milk Miso Soup and the newest one is Curry. Every soup have its own character. And its fit with the meat. My favorite is the curry, which is not too thick but have a splendid flavor, and other Hot Miso Soup. Even basically I love all the taste of the soup. LOL...

All the side dish and other Buffet menu is also good to try. Don't missed their Sushi and Karage. Love it when I dip it in the Shaburi special sauce. There are Gomadare (Sesame Sweet Tare), Genghis Khan Sauce (Japanese Fruity Tare) dan Ponzu (Japanese Traditional Tare). Hubby tried to mix the 3 of the sauce and it turn out to be good.

The price that you paid is already include drinks and dessert. From hot to cold, from tea to coffee are available in the drink counter.

Spare your tummy for dessert. Shaburi have two type of Ice Cream, The milky one and the yogurt. If you think that you already full wit tons of  food earlier, perhaps you can choose their yogurt. But if you still can manage the ice cream, don't missed the chocolate one. Its so good.

At the end, I had a great dinner here with hubby. 1 hour is worth to wait. I guess 90 minutes is enough for us to have dine here. It enough make us can't get our ass up from the chair LOL... Surely we'll comeback here again and again.

CANTEEN at Pacific Place

I bet you guys already know about Canteen. Since it's not a new join in town. I first know Canteen at their Plaza Indonesia branch. But this time, I'm visiting  their other branch at Pacific Place. This is because they just renovated their branch here. That's what make me curious. And other things, my friend Chacha who craving for their Burger so much.

Entering Canteen means we should passing through the ak.sa.ra store area. The restaurant area look more spacious now. They split it into 2 area. The outdoor that look like bus stop, with a glass that covered the sitting area placed in the left and right side of the entrance.

Entering the restaurant area, we will welcome by their Bar Area. You can choose many selection drinks, cocktails even wine from their bars.

Canteen still loyal with their old theme interior. With a vintage look, Canteen interior dominated with wooden furniture and bricks for the wall. It was pretty tricky take a pictures here, since they have a dim lighting for the entire restaurant. But it give effect a bit romantic though. I love sitting infront of the big window. We can see the city while we eat. Plus the big windows give more spacious effect to the room.

Now let's find out the menu. A bit confuse when I saw the menu list. I felt like... I want this and that... Hahaha So typical...

CAESAR SALAD WITH GRILLED CHICKEN - IDR 55.000
Love this Caesar Salad. With crunchy romaine lettuce that still taste fresh, crispy beef bacon, and croutons. Served with grilled chicken. It has a big cut with a tender texture. The portion also pretty big. At first I want to make this salad for an appetizer. Before I ordered their other menu. But then, I become full with right away. Nice salad!

CANTEEN CHEESE BURGER ON BRIOCHE WITH BEEF BACON AND SALSA 
- IDR 80.000
To be honest, at first I don't have much expectation to this cheese burger. But then, we I taste it, I have to admit, this burger is great. Unlike the usual burger that only use ketchup or barbeque sauce, this burger use salsa sauce that have spicy and sour taste. This sauce really elevate this cheese burger. Also love the patty. It still juicy and tender. They cooked it right. Plus the brioche bun, it fluffy and moist. They said its homemade. Served with big cuts of french fries.

Ice Lemon Tea - IDR 30.000

Overall, we have so much fun here at Canteen. The service also good and fast. Will comeback again someday to dig in other's Canteen menu.

Paul Bakery and Patisserie Indonesia

Been a while since I know about this Paul Bakery and Patisserie. I even often passing through infront of their restaurant. But never got a chance to visit Paul Bakery and Patisserie. Luckily, my ancient mates suddenly called me and asked me to meet her near in her office. Miss her since never meet her in a while. So we agree to meet at PAUL.

PAUL first founded in 1889 and already expand to many countries delivered the authentic bakery and french dish to the whole world. But just around December 2013, PAUL came to Jakarta. Placed at outside the Galleries Lafayette Pacific Place Jakarta, PAUL is so ready battle with many French restaurant in Jakarta.

When we arrived at PAUL that afternoon, the restaurant looked packed with Jakartans.We have to wait the waitress find us seat. Not for long, finally we got our seat inside the restaurant. For outdoors area is specially for the smokers.

Since I stepped in to the PAUL area, I already felt like I'm in the cafe in street of Paris. Yeaasshh... I never been there, but from I've seen from movie or magazine, it really captured the Paris ambiance. The big window around the cafe, make the not too big cafe looked more bigger and spacious. Loved the combination between the wooden and the black and white tiles. So classic yet modern.

PAUL also separated their dining area with the bakery area. However, we still can eat the bakery in the restaurant with extra charge. If you want more intimate, better you sit in the bakery area like the picture above.

Kinda confuse to select what we're going to order. Everything on the menu looked so tempting. Specially when I saw the pastry display. I felt like a kid in candy store.

Crêpe Mixte - IDR 90.000
Turkey Ham and Emmental Cheese 
Looovveee to death with this thin French Crepe.  The crepe was so smooth and delicate. And look at the filling. PAUL give it so generous. Turkey Ham really mixed together with the emmental cheese. It so melted in my mouth. Served with shallots and parsley salad with balsamic vinegar dressing. 

Ham & Cheese Croissant - IDR 75.000
Turkey Ham, Emmental Cheese, Béchamel Sauce and Croissant
I also love this croissant. It still warm when arrived to our table.  The texture was so crisp, crunchy but still moist. The crisp texture also came from the cheese that cooked till it dry. Turkey ham texture was so smooth. Blend well with the Béchamel Sauce. Served with shallots and parsley salad with balsamic vinegar dressing. 

THE BAKERY

Like I told you earlier aight? I'm so drooling look at their bakery and pastry display. So, beside I ordered it for dessert after me and my friend meal, I also bought some for to take away.

Eclairs Aux Framboises - IDR 50.000
Traditional Choux Pastry with Raspberries and Whipped Cream
First I looked at this eclairs in their display, I already felt in love. It looked so gorgeous and tempting. The first bite really blew me away. The choux pastry taste a bit crisp, chewy yet moist. The consistency is really great. Whipped cream also not too sweet. So its not make overwhelmed. Its all balance with the sourness from the fresh raspberries.  

As for me for take away, I bought croissant  and Fougasse (bread). See so many varieties of bread make me a bit confuse and felt like want to grab all (again LOL)...

Fougasse Provencale - IDR 25.000
PAUL White Flour, Sundried Tomato, Olives, Yeast, Salt, Extra Virgin Olive Oil
This big fougasse taste really rich. A bit tangy from the olives. The sundries tomato still taste fresh. The texture is really chewy. Really good if paired this with Cream Soup.

Pain Au Chocolat - IDR 22.000
Buttery chocolate croissant with flaky texture on the dough. The chocolate is very rich. Really great if pairing it with hot chocolate.

Nos Thês Glacês - IDR 45.000
We ordered Lemon Ice Tea and Mint Iced Tea that day. Both of the teas are freshening. There's also Iced Tea Of the day that you can order with the price IDR 45.000

Overall, it was so much find to get experience dine in PAUL. I surely will comeback here for more than PAUL's menu and bakery. I guess they already increase their service here. Because not like in several reviews that I read, the service here quite nice. From the start I walk through the door until I finished my meal here. I guess I'm lucky enough.
