Ayam Bakar Christina (bukan Penyanyi Dangdut)

Waktu jalan-jalan di sekitar Margonda - Depok, saya melihat ada tempat makan yang tempat nya tidak terlalu besar, tapi cenderung ramai pengunjung, Menurut teman-teman saya yang tinggal di daerah Depok, Ayam Bakar Christina memang cukup terkenal dan rasa nya enak. Well... let's prove it.

Ayam Bakar Christina terletak diujung jalan Margonda atau di sebelah kanan jalan jika dari arah Depok Apabila dari arah Lenteng Agung, restoran ini dapat dilihat di pinggir kiri jalan raya. Like i said before, Ayam Bakar Christina tempat nya tidak terlalu besar. Hanya sederetan bangku-bangku plastik dan meja-meja untuk kapasitas 4-6 orang.

Sesuai nama-nya, saya pun lalu memesan ayam bakar. Ketika pertama kali melihat wujud nya, saya agak pesimistis. Masalah nya rupa nya ngga kece gituuhh. Warna nya sedikit kehitaman. Ternyata itu bukan hangus. Ketika saya tanyakan, itu adalah bumbu kecap nya yang turut terbakar. Ayam Bakar Christina disajikan dengan kuah kecap yang bertekstur encer. Rasa nya manis asin. Daging nya empuk sekali. Ternyata pepatah "Never Judge A Book By It's Cover" berlaku untuk ayam ini hohhhoohoho...

Menu lain yang saya pesan adalah Ikan Bakar. Rasa bumbu kecap nya sangat meresap ke dalam daging ikan nya. But I think, rasa ikan nya kurang segar dibandingkan ayam nya.

Untuk peneman makan hidangan utama, pesan lah tahu dan tempe bakar. Karena bumbu ny sama, jadi rasa nya pun sama, Ternyata tahu dan tempe bakar ini sekali. Bumbu nya benar-benar meresap dan tidak hanya tersa diluar nya saja

Selain menu diatas, Ayam Bakar Christina juga menyajikan menu lain seperti pepes jamur, pepes ikan, pepes tahu dan karedok. Harga yang ditawarkan jelas sangat bersahabat. Paling mahal cuma Rp.18.000 saja untuk paket nasi, ayam + lalap.

Overall, Ayam Bakar Christina worth to visit. Cheap prize but with great taste. Pelayan nya juga cepat & helpfull.

Ngupi-Ngupi at Coffee Club

On weekend, me & my girlfriends went to coffee shop. Actually, this was some kind our ritual after meal Hohoho...

Coffee Club is in 3rd Floor Pacific Place Mall. Tempat nya memang rada di pojok. But the place sign name pretty big in front door. There are 2 sitting area, indoor the shop and outside (tepat nya infront the shop atau di jalanan). Untuk yang tidak suka menghisap bau asap rokok, sebaik nya take in outside area.

Suasana didalam Coffee Club didominasi warna coklat. Dengan interior berupa pohon-pohon kering, Coffee Club terasa sangat nyaman and nice place to hangout.

Ketika duduk, kami diberikan buku menu yang menurut saya interesting. I thought the server gave magazine or booklet hahaha... Ternyata it was the menu book

 Coffee Club menyajikan finest coffee from all over the place, baik lokal mau pun non lokal. But since i don't drink coffee any longer (kadang masih suka bandel siihh... sruput doang kookk), so I ordered Mixberry. It's some kind like smoothies on top and syrup in bottom. Dengan buah berry yang melimpah diatas nya, minuman ini terasa sangat menyegarkan. Asam-asam manis gitu deehh... For those who like sourm taste this.

My friend ordered Avocado Coffee Chocolate. The taste really great. Campuran antara avocado, coffee and chocolate make this drink worth to try. Cocok untuk ngga terlalu suka kopi but want to taste a flavor of coffee. Me love this.

Another freshening drink was Peach Lychee Ice Tea. Ice tea nya berasa peach segar ditambah dengan buah lychee yang besar-besar. Wooww... love it.

Untuk cemal-cemil we ordered Nachos. The taste was so so. Contained salsa sauce and mozzarella cheese.

Overall, for hangout this place is good. Really nice place with a good service. The drinks and food also not bad. Just try it.

Pancious Pancake - Part 2

Like I told you before in my previous review about Pancious, that I pretty often hangout in this place. 1 of my friend said, that Pancious is 1 of our base camp, LOL.

We took place inside, in a long chair. 'Coz we already knew well with Pancious menus (Pancious should give us treat aight girls hehehe) so we ordered instead.

Special Pancake with Vanilla Ice Cream (32k)

Special Pancake double stack with mix pancake and waffle is one of original pancake from Pancious. Served with Vanilla Ice Cream, maple syrup also butter. Spread the butter & maple syrup together on top of the waffle and pancake. Taste yuummyy... melted in your mouth...

BBQ Chicken (41k)

Barbeque Chicken taste great. Between the chicken, bbq sauce, onion, cheese sauce and mozzarella it all blend together. Single wont never enough.

Beef Salami served with cheese sauce, mozzarella and the beef salami. yuummm...

Coco Baileys (38k)

Coco Baileys with a bit of alcohol taste from Baileys in it sauce taste like heaven.1 stack pancake served with 1 scoop of vanilla ice cream and pour with Baileys caramel sauce, chocolate sauce and almond sprinkle. Love it... sluurrpp...

Mango Cheese

Mango Cheese taste really freshening. 2 stack pancake and waffle served with mango fruit, mango sauce and cheese fudge.

This Fresh Fruit Ice Tea Cocktail some kind must order menu when we visit Pancious. With one big glass, you can share it with 3 other peoples. Contained fresh fruit like kiwi, strawberry, pear, peach and mango peach syrup taste great.

Overall, I'm still in love with Pancious, eventhough they have an expensive mineral water (said my friend hohoho). They still gave the great service and the great taste. Love it.

Burger King with The Queen

Since I declare want to do a diet (wannabe) I seldom eat fast food. But this time, I really can't stand myself. Niatnya sih cuma nemenin temen-temen ajah... Tapi melihat sederet menu di Burger King, I never can resist.

Burger King Skyline Building adalah salah satu branch yang peling sering saya kunjungi. Selain dekat dengan kantor, tempat nya juga sangat nyaman. Ada 2 entrance menuju Burger King. Satu lewat front door next to Starbucks, another through entrance next to Pizza Hut.

What I love in Burger King is Mushroom & Swiss Burger (Rp 38.182 - Package). Mixing between the mushroom melted cheese and it's tender beef was soo yummy.  I also tried the new menu at Burger King (at least I just knew about this menu) named Angus Burger. It has a big size. Contained Smoked Bacon and Chedda. Also added smoked bacon and cheddar cheese and finally surrounded it with crisp lettuce, tomato and onion, salad and creamy mayonnaise. How is that full?

Not too forget the side dish. Usually Burger King gave the french fries as a side dish in one package. But I often switch it with Onion Ring. This onion ring was really crisp. The breaded flour coated it onion well.

As a dessert, I ordered Hersheys Sundae Pie.This one is a heaven for chocolate lover. The pie itself taste like brownies. It was good, it was crust, but really smooth when you eat it. Blend in with chocolate filling, then top it off with whipped cream and Chocolate Chips also choco sauce. *gleekk

Overall, I love eating here in Burger King. The patty taste fresh, the side dish was crisp & crunchy, the dessert was great and with the great place with great service. Never can resist Burger King.

G3 Cafe

Often walk in Sabang Street, but this is the 1st time I went there. Just curious. First came in, the server greet us, really friendly. I choose sitting next to window, left side of the entrance. G3 have 2 floor. 1st floor is not too big. with a row of sitting areas and a bar in the center.

I ordered Es Pisang Ijo (20k). Taste not bad. Tapi pisang nya sedikit keras ya. Trus lapisan pisang nya juga kurang empuk. Untuk bubur sumsum nya lembut, but a bit salty. Beneram deh. Disajikan dengan parutan es, red syrup dan susu cair.

My friend ordered Penacook with Ice Cream Vanilla Topping (17.5k). Adonan penacook nya kurang lembut, but it's forgiven dengan ice cream vanilla dan siraman chocolate melted nya.

For side dish, i also ordered Tahu Pong (10.5k). Tahu Pong berisi 4 buah disajikan hangat. Have you ever eat tahu sumedang? Yaa... the taste similar like that. Eat this with the spicy sauce. Saus nya seperti kuah mpek-mpek but more thick. Or I can say sambel kecap.

Overall, the meal is so so. The price is reasonable. The place and the service is good.

Red Mango

Rainy day doesn't make me stop eating ice cream. Like a view days ago I stepped by to Red Mango Grand Indonesia to bought it. The place is in under the elevator, West Mall. The place is not too big. Only with the bar and a view seats surround it.

Red mango is a frozen yogurt  that really freshening. The taste is a bit sour but tasty. Have 5 kind of yogurt taste, like plain, blackberry, blackberry twist, fruit punch and chocolate. I choose the blackberry twist. Like it's name, it's a mixing between the blackberry and the plain yogurt. With the toppings you can also choose from the bar. A lot of topping that they offer. Beside the fresh fruit there are cereal, chocolate, mochi, chocolate chip and many more.

Red Mango also sell other kind of yogurt, like Yogurt Ice Cake and Yogurt Latte. You can also take home the Red Mango. Because they have the take home package. For the price it's common. Not to expensive. Depends on the size you choose. Me spend 40k for Medium size with 2 toppings

BonChon Chicken

On Saturday, I was invited to taste a fried chicken from Korea. First thing in my mind, fried chicken? What the different with another fried chicken that already exist in town. Promosi nya adalah, BonChon pretty sure that they have healthy kind of fast food. With no greasy things under the skin. Hhmm... let's prove it.

BonChon first open was in Korea in 2002. Now in 2012, BonChon here in Jakarta offering a chicken menu that different than others. Dengan mengambil tema like a workshop, BonChon menghadirkan suasana tempat makan yang santai. Ada dua sitting area here, outside and inside BonChon.

BonChon Chicken have 3 size of chicken that we can pick. Small, Medium dan Large, dengan pilihan bagian ayam yang bisa kita pilih sesuai selera. There are wings, drumstick, thigh and strips. We also can mix the wings and drumstick.

For starter there's Chicken Salad. It's a vegetables with  chicken strips on it. The freshness of the vegetables blend in together with the crisp of the chicken. Eat it with the thousand island as the dressing.

Original Chciken by Bonchon. Potongan ayam nya not too big. But the taste is good. and the thing is, there's no greasy in it. Hohoho... BonChon not lie... The chicken was so tender.

Not to forget try the spicy chicken wings. The spicy in the chicken was really tasty. Bumbu nya sangat terasa. And the skin really crisp.

Selain ayam, BonChon also served Fish. The Dory fish that BonChon have was make me in love. The fish was so tender. Bumbu nya lebih terasa. Because i usually don't like fish too much.

Bumbu ayam dan ikan nya hana terasa in the skin and tasteless in the meat. Ternyata according to BonChon, bumbu yang meresap terlalu banyak, justru akan semakin membuat minyak meresap kedalam daging more deep. Which is not good. But i don't mind. Since the sauce it self already good.

For side dish, we had french fries. Add some salt if you think it's less salt. Served in a small cup, BonChon fries taste different than other resto had.

For beverages, it's common things. Like lemon tea, softdrink, mineral water and bottle juice.

But i kinda like the dessert. It called Mochi Ice Cream. The mochi dough was so smooth. When we bite is there's vanilla ice cream in it. Yuuummm... Small bite make me curious...

Overall, BonChon Chicken worth to be visit. It's a great optional if you want to eat fried chicken with a healthy way. A small bite with a big taste. You should come here hungry peoples...
