ERIC KAYSER ARTISAN BOULANGER - JAKARTA

Been so long I want to try this (not so) new join in town. After Paul Bakery and Patisserie succeed open in Jakarta, I'm so curious with another French bakery and pastries. First because I love bakery and pastries so much, so I guess I won't miss this place.

Eric Kayser has the so not too spacious venue. I'm a bit worried at 1st that I don't get a seat. Since its close to break fasting time. But lucky for me and my friend, we got a seat next to pastry display. I stood and drooling infront of their (look so tempting) pastries displays. From macaroon, eclairs to cakes... Like I want grab it all. Eric Kayser split in to two areas, indoor and outdoor. If you want too see Mall's activity then choose in outdoor. But if you want more intimate, you can choose seating indoor. Dominated with wooden furniture plus flowers, Eric Kayser venue feel nice and comfortable.

Like I told you before, since I came in breakfasting time, so me and my friend want to start with main course. Yeepp... beside bakery and pastries, Eric Kayser also served main course. Screening on their menu, make me even more confuse. Because it all look tempting. But then we decide to ordered something that not too heavy so we can also try their pastries for dessert. And here what we ordered

Hot Tea & Macaroon - Compliment
COFFEE & PISTACHE MACAROON - IDR 15.000/each
Since I came to Eric Kayser at Breakfasting Month, they give their customers ta'jil (something for break-fasting). Beside the Hot tea, I also got the macaroon. We got the coffee and pistache macaroon. Like the texture of the macaroon. Crunchy and flaky at the same time. Not too sweet, and soo good for breakfasting. Like the coffee better.

Assorted Sweet Bread - Compliment
Again Eric Kayser gave us a compliment. Wow... what a generous. A sweet bread with cherry and other a sweet bread with raisin and nuts also a wheat bread. Like the raisin and nuts much. All of those bread are moist and soft. Just spread it with plain butter.

SPAGHETTI PESTO AU POULET - IDR 78.000
Spaghetti tossed with basil pesto, grilled chicken and shaved parmesan
This spaghetti pesto surprisingly taste amazing. The spaghetti cooked in aldente. The basil really tasty without overwhelmed feeling. Chicken really grilled perfectly, so it still tender and seasoning well.  And it all topped with fresh rocket salad and pine nuts to make this spaghetti more fragrant and deliciously crazy.

FOUGASEE DIAVOLA - IDR 98.000
French Pizza with tomato sauce, pepperoni beef and chilli flakes.
Fougasee that  Eric Kayser served surprisingly taste great. The bread served with thin and crisp. Eventhough it already cold, it still crisp and not chewy. Fougasee Diavola taste a bit spicy with chilli flakes in it. But it makes the taste even more scrumptious. Love the generous amount of mozzarella cheese and the pepperoni. Still topped with rocket salad to add more freshness.

RASPBERRIES ICE TEA - IDR 27.000
Since I thought I'll be eating much here, so I ordered something fresh and a bit sour to make a balance. And this Raspberries really taste freshening. With a raspberries chunk in the bottom of the glass, the taste even more good.

Speaking of their service, the service here was so AMAZING. Nothing fierce look wannabe, no snob look. What they give to us is only smile, full help, really patience in explaining the menu, never leave empty plate too long, and really quick in service. Ii give a high credit to the service. Nothing can beat a restaurant with a good food, good ambiance and a good service.

At the end, we have to give a white flag to Eric Kayser. We're to full to order the dessert. And only looking at the display with sad. Bubbye baby... next visit to Eric Kayser, I'll definitely will taste you guys...
