365 Ecobar

Last week I attended an Food Tasting event that held by Openrice and 365 Ecobar. I'm so excited reading the theme and menu from this restaurant. So here I am, beat the worst traffic in the evening just to answer my curiousity.

365 Ecobar located in a very hype location, Kemang. Take the eco friendly theme, 365 Ecobar use so many recycle material like ship container that been re-design and re-painted. 365 means there's 365 days in one year. And if you notice the number infront of the restaurant, it change every day. When I visited 365 Ecobar the bar shows 204. This place so unique and feel good. It's a great for hangout with your friends. Sadly... they don't have separate room for smoking and non-smoking area. I prefer seat outside, where I still can feel the air. Outdoor area with a greeny drop leaves, sitting here just like sit in a garden. I also can't blink my eyes when I saw the bar area. With colorful wooden stool, it look so fun. Indoor, beside the bar area, 365 Ecobar have private sitting area complete with a nice and big sofa where we still can see the stage. And if you want to get really close with the stage, so you can straight to perform and act like a fab singer... You can sit in a couch infront of the stage.

Our gathering begin with mocktails and cocktails from 365 Ecobar. After that continue with their appetizer. Sadly (again) since I came late, so I missed some picture moments for several menus. Luckily my skinnymini mates, Aline & Yenny allowed me to use some of their pictures.

Virgin Colada – IDR 43.000

Tropical blend of pineapple, coconut and cream. Eventhough there's coconut and cream in ingredients, but the pineapple dominate this mocktail. It fresh and not too sweet.

1000 Kisses – IDR 43.000

Light Cherries, Tea and Cream Smoothie.  A very ear catching names. Give it to your girlfriend for a lil' bit flirt hehehe.... Taste like strawberry milk. But since it also blend with tea, taste more freshening.

Fuzzy Kiwi - IDR 85.000

Pears Vodka wit Muddle Kiwi Cube. Me like this one. The vodka is not overpower. The kiwi make it more fresh. You can still feel the Kiwi chunk in it. Since they smash the kiwi into a little chunk.

Russian Roulette - IDR 85.000

Coffee Liquor, Vodka, Irish Cream and Milk. For coffee lover, like me, you gonna love this one. Between one ingredient to other nothing to overpowering. So you still can taste the coffee it self.

Coffee Liquor Aceh Gayo

Aceh Gayo Coffee mixed with Rhum. I never can imagine that Aceh Gayo can be this good infused with Rhum. It's quite unique.

After open by great Liquor, now we move to appetizer....

Tequila Quesadilla – IDR 45.000

Tequila Quesadilla

Tequila Marinated Chicken Julienne, Pan Fried with White Tortilla. Imagine if you eat chicken that been marinated with tequila. This quesadilla is so great. The tequila is not too overpowering. When we eat it, we only can smell the aroma. Topped with guacamole and fresh tomato, make this quesadilla more flavored.

Mediteranian BBQ Wings – IDR 39.000

Grilled Chicken Wings tossed in Tangy Barbeque Sauce. The chicken quite tender, but the texture a bit too dry, probably it too overcooked. So it make the chicken lost it juiciness.

Tenderloin Shish Kebab - IDR 75.000

Tenderloin Shish Kebab

Turkish Style Shish Kebab Of Tenderloin Cubes, Green Pepper and Mushroom Over Rice. From western to mexico and now middle East. 365 Ecobar really want to fulfill your appetite. A very tender tenderloin grilled with green pepper, onion and zucchini. The waiters help you loosen all the ingredients from it's skewer. Served with steamed rice. I love the tenderloin. It so tender and perfectly seasoning.

Chicken Parmigiana - IDR 63.000

Breaded Chicken Breast Covered in Marinara Sauce Topped with Mozzarella and Parmesan Melt. The chicken is so tender. It still crispy outside and tender inside. The marinara sauce and the cheese make this Chicken Parmigiana is so tasteful and make want more. Served with watercress salad infused with balsamic dressing that I think a bit salty and also served with french fries. The side dish can be replace with mashed potato or butter rice.

Chantily Chocolate Martini - IDR 30.000

Dark Chocolate Mousse with Layer of Chantily Cream. This chocolate mouse taste like heaven. It so smooth and not leaving weird taste after it. The chantily cream balance the taste from chocolate. Yummy...

Overall, 365 Ecobar success to be one of hangout place in Kemang area. The ambience is great, the price pretty reasonable, and too forget about the service, their so friendly and really patient explaining every single menu that we asked. Open until 4am in the weekend, really great for you to hangout and listen to live music.

Bibliotheque

Have you ever imagine dine in library? Well, don't just imagine, just come to Bibliotheque if you want to feel it. Two days ago, I had a change to had dinner here. My office held a breakfasting event in Bibliotheque.

Bibliotheque placed in business office building called Sampoerna Strategic Square. Bibliotheque split in two area, outdoor and indoor. The outdoor area is just like a terrace. With a big chair and trees around, it so nice to seat here. Enter to the main area, we can see a big rack of books on the wall. With wooden furniture, this restaurant looks so classic and vintage. Indoor area have 2 level area. In 1st floor we can find dining area and bar also the DJ booth.

Since this was a breakfasting event with office mates, so we seated in a long table. Not so long, the waitress gave us a big framed menu list. And these are what we ordered...

Kolak Ubi & Hot Tea

Fish Finger 40k

When I asked the waitress what this menu called in the menu list, she said fish & chips, but no chips come along with the fish. Is it served in separate place like picture below? But it definitely taste okay. Not fishy. Served with mayonnaise.
 

Bibliotheque Pommes Frites 35k

French fries sprinkle with parmesan and  celery. Nothing special.

Vegetables Spring Roll - 35k

As it names, it consist many veggies inside. Like peas, carrots, potato. The taste pretty good. It still warm and crisp when it served. It served with mayonnaise.

Homemade Smoke Salmon Rosette 45k

I kinda like this one. The salmon taste fresh. Not fishy. Served with cheesy mayonnaise.

House Smoke Salmon | Saumon Fume Maison 95k

Served with pain de campagne and Philadelphia Cheese. Taste is just like the smoke salmon rosette above. But come in more large portion. Served with bread.

AUS Tenderloin (220gm) with mushroom sauce 150k

Cooked with welldone. The meat a bit dry. But still there's juiciness left. The mushroom sauce taste good. With mushroom chunk the meat taste better. Served with fries.

AUS Grainfed 200 Days Ribeye (200gm) with Red Wine Shallot Sauce - 260k

Cooked with welldone that I regret it. Because the meat become so dry and chewy. So not tasty anymore :( I chose red wine shallot sauce and it taste good. I like the sauce. Served with herbs mashe potato that I don't like. The herbs was too strong.

Beef  Lasagne | Lasagne de Boeuf - 85k

Beef Lasagna come in  a big portion. The lasagna a bit raw. But the sauce pretty good. Topped with mozarella cheese.

Traditional Oxtail Soup - 80k

From Indonesia menu there's traditional oxtail soup that served with rice, crackers (emping) and condiments. You can request the condiments as you like. Whether you want green chilli or red chilli. The oxtail a bit chewy and taste so so.

Overall, Bibliotheque have a very nice place to dine, but the food taste so ordinary. Nothing can blew my appetite. And I wish they have non-smoking area. Because from my last visit, the guest can smoke in anywhere place.

d'consulate

I first known about d'consulate because I often passing through infront of d'consulate area. Took place in Wahid Hasyim, near Hotel Cipta. First impression about this place was an expensive and exclusive place. A bit skeptic actually at first. So because I'm so damn curious, than I drag my hubby to come with me to d'consulate hohohooho...

First step in, there was a reception desk and a cake stall beside it. The reception greet us and take us to our tables. A very nice sofa with big screen TV on the wall. Not so many customers around. Because on the menu they serve Shisha (somekind like smoke but with a big pipe and have many flavor like mint, strawberry etc), so in d'consulate the customers are allowed to smoke. Me & hubby who not smoking a bit uncomfortable with this situation.

The ambiance really nice though. Looks elegance and classy. With chair, sofa, chandelier, and big screen TV pretty nice place to hangout.

When we sat, the server gave us a very thick menu book. My hubby said, the menu book looked like yellow pages LOL :D Here are what we ordered...

Grilled Norwegian Salmon 99k

Grilled Norwegian Salmon was great. The salmon cooked well. Served with veggies and crab cake (if I not mistake, kinda forget). The veggies still crunchy, not too overcooked, the crab cake also good. Filled with veggies and meat chop, remembering me with bakwan hehehe... (^o^)

BBQ Grilled Chicken 90k

BBQ Grilled Chicken is a grilled chicken that marinated with barbeque sauce. I kinda like the sauce. It blend well with the chicken. It just that it'll be more good if they serve it warm. Because it's already cold when it served. So does with the corn and the potato wedges. The potato wedges seasoning with dry chilli. Like it much.

Lime Squash (35k) & Orange Juice (38.5k)

What could be more prefect than a sour drink after meal? The lime squash was so sour. I asked the server to separate the liquid sugar from the drink. Because I like it without any sugar. More freshening. The orange juice also great. There's still pulp in it. Love it
Score: 9/10

Overall, the food was good, the service also nice. The price also average. Food start from 50k, not too expensive as i imagine. If you don't mind with smoking place, you should come here.

BUNK Pullman: Cocktail and Mocktail Madness

Last Thursday, on February 23rd 2012 I was invited by Pullman Central Park to tried they Cocktail and Mocktail at their Bars named BUNK. The location is in the right side of the entrance. BUNK have a very cozy and nice place to hangout.

BUNK have 2 floor. In the 1st floor, we can find a very nice sofa, a bar, and Dj table. With the not too loud music, hangout in this place felt so convy.

I Heart with this chair

Beside the Bar, there's a round stairs that connected to 2nd floor. BUNK's 2nd Floor is somekind a private room that can accommodate 10 - 15 peoples. There was a big mirror and paintings that make the room looked more spacious. The floor really hip. with green light floor and nice sofas in it. We can see 1st floor activity from this area.

BUNK served many great (and strange) Cocktail and Mocktail. They also served tapas for accompany us drink the Cocktail and Mocktail.

Favarica

Favarica contain apple syrup, brown sugar, green aple slice and top with soda.  The taste of it's brown sugar blend well with the soda. And the apple chunk made this mocktail taste really freshening. Me love this.

Electric Retro Pop Art

Electric Retro Pop Art contain Vodka infused bubble gum, Whit egg, Lime Juice, Lemon Juice and Simple Syrup. I remember Cocktail named Pink Lady, because it contain white egg also. Me don't dare to try this, since it have egg in it.

Cream Pie

Cream Pie taste was similar like Milkshake, but with banana as a main ingredient. It contain with banana fruit, banana syrup, vanilla yogurt and coconut syrup.

Balasis

Balasis contain Lychee syrup, Lime juice, Mint Syrup and Peach Syrup. Lime Juice made the Lychee and Peach not too sweet. So it's really freshening. I love It.

Potrait

Potrait contain Vodka infused blackcurrant, cream the casis and blackcurrant syrup. Cream the Casis is a A sweet red blackcurrant flavored liqueur. It blend well with the Vodka and the syrup. Taste great.

McHale

McHAle contain Rum infuse with Bubble Gum, Dark rum, Grenadine, Coconut rum, Orange Juice and Pineapple Juice. The taste was like usual Pineapple Juice, nut since it blend with Rum, so the taste more strong.

Bridgespoon & Chery

I lovee this Bridgespoon & Chery. It contain honeydew, cherry, yogurt and a dash of grenadine. The mixed between it ingredients made it great.

Axell

It was interesting when i looked the Axell presentation. Because it use cotton candy as it garnish. Like a drink for kids. It contain Vodka infused with bubble gum, creme de banana, triple sec cranberry and cotton candy. the taste also quiet fun. The mixed between the ingredients made this drink sweet and great.

Splash

Splash is a cocktail that made intended for coffee lover (this is just my opinion). Splash contain Vodka infused Vanilla, Baileys, Frangelico and Kahlua.  Frangelico taste was like hazelnut and caramel. So when it blen with baileys and kahlua, it felt so damn great. Me loved it.

Bloody Mary

Bloody Marry is BUNK's signature drink. There are 4 kind of Bloody Marry that BUNK's served. Each drink have it own taste (and kinda weird hohoo)


  Ultimate Bloody Marry contain Vodka, tequila, Tabasco Sc, horseradish, onion, tomato juice and olive oil. The taste a bit spicy and strange. Maybe from the onion and the horseradish.

Bloody Marry contain chilli infused vodka, Tabasco Sc, celery, salt and black pepper.

Bloody Maria contain tequila, tomato juice, lime, celery and Tabasco.

Tom Yum Bloody Marry. Nope it's not Tom Yum soup like you think, although the name is TomYum, it still a cocktail. No wonder, because it filled with TomYum sauce, vodka, Tabasco, celery and 1 other things.

From all Bloody Marry that I mentioned above, only Bloody Maria that I think better, eventhough I can't drink it more than a sip sip

To accompany you drink, BUNK offered a few side dish for you to order.

Miss Sixty Platter

Miss Sixty Platter have a very earcatching name. It contain with labiose duck breast, mini spring roll, retro maki, sesame flavor and prawn skewer. I don't get a chance to taste this menu. However the presentation looked great.

Warhol Platter

Warhol Platter contain tomato gazpacho, handmade blinis, and yellow line tuna. I actually curious with the blini. But i don't get a chance also to taste this.

Shazzam Platter

Shazzam Platter filled with Rainbow Consomme, Eggplant Profiterole, Marinated Mackare, Roasted Fang King Prawn. This also looked good, but once again, I don't get a chance to taste it.

Retro Pop Platter

Retro Pop Platter contain squid tempura, poached duck breast, mushroom risotto, crab meat and shrimp. From all those above, the better was mushroom risotto. The squid a lil bit hard to bite. Maybe because it 's not hot anymore when it served.

Cakes

This all cakes that BUNK's served was heaven. I love it all. Every single cake have it own taste.

Fudge Cake

Fudge Cake is chocolate cake in every layer. It's a heaven for chocolate lover. The cake was so smooth the chocolate melt in mouth yuuumm...

Strawberry Opera Cake

Strawberry Opera Cake also taste great. The sour from strawberry blend well with the cake it self. yuumm...

Greentea Cake

This greentea cake become my most favorite. Loovvee it. Can't stop to eat it more

Blueberry Cheese Cake

Blueberry Cheese Cake really melt in mouth. Really good and really smooth

Overall, I love the Pop art BUNK's interior. really inspire me to apply this to my new crib. They also gave great service with good product knowledge. Great place to hangout with mates
