D"Omelette

Often passing through this restaurant in Kota Kasablanka but I never had chance to try. Placed in Food Society Ground Floor, D'Omellete look so homey and cozy. with wooden interior in all over the place.


I like the open air design that D'Omellete have. It feels like we sitting in someone terrace. With a long wooden table and chairs. The atmosphere also fell like in the village home. Nice sitting here. Me and a friend choose sitting inside.

Enough about the place, now let's move to the meal. We decide to begin with something lite before entering the main course.

Cheese Stick - IDR 14.000
Deep fried mozzarella with mayonnaise dressing.
I  like this cheese stick. The mozzarella really melt when we eat it. I suggested to eat it when it's warm to get a melted texture from the mozzarella.

Pan Roast Dory Fish - IDR 46.000
Dory fish served with sauteed vegetables julienne, slice roasted tomato, sauteed mushroom, bononcini cheese cover with pepper oil and mixed lettuce.
Well, you can imagine from the details above. the dory cooked well. So tender and seasoned well. It feels like every ingredients blend well. Squeeze it with lemon to get more fresh taste.

Salmon Florentine - IDR 48.000
Norwegian Salmon Served with sauteed spinach, white bean, saffron sauce, basil and olive oil dressing.
Me likeeyy.... The salmon is so tender and juicy. The sauce make all flavor come together. With the good mashed potato, make this dish taste great yet healthy.

Overall, I think D'Omelette worth to try. With many various menus, from all day breakfast, full course, lite bite, or waffle & pancake, they have it all. the service also good and fast.

Otel Lobby Part Deux

Have I told you before that I like to visit Otel Lobby so much. It makes me visit Otel Lobby again. well, since maid still off-duty, so when my friend Yenny ask me to visit Otel Lobby again, I said yes right away hehehe....

Otel Lobby have masculinity yet sexy ambiance by putting an end-to-end attention of its exterior and interior design. Entering Otel Lobby, patrons will be greeted by the 'receptionist' under Otel's signature chandelier and trolley bag. Yeepp... Otel Lobby really want to bring us to the Vintage Hotel ambiance 



Now let's move to Otel Lobby's menu. There are also new menu that we'd like to try.

Pigs In The Blanket - IDR 45.000

Tender Beef Hotdog with warm Pastry.
Don't get wrong with the name. It totally kosher (HALAL) y'll. Nothing to do with pigs hohooho. The beef hotdog is really tender. Pastry served warm and a bit oily. It become oily because after they baked it, they spread it with butter. It meant to get a savory taste and shinny look. Served with spicy mayo to make it more great.

Zucchini, Broccoli,  Mushroom, in light tomato sauce
I like this spaghetti. It cooked aldente with right amount of tomato sauce. The taste not to sour, it blend well with the spaghetti.

Baked Pizza Salmon - IDR 85.000

Smoked Salmon, Dill, Cucumber, Cream Cheese
My today's favorite definitely goes to this Salmon Pizza.  Thin crust pizza style topped with the very fresh smoked salmon. It not fishy at all. Eat it when it still warm. all ingredients more blend well and taste yummy.

Nutella Mouse - IDR 40.000
Candid Nuts, Strawberry
Chocolate lover must be in love with this dessert. So delicate nutella mouse cake topped with strawberry and Caramel that look like bird nest. Served with Chocolate nuts crumble, topped with vanilla ice cream and spread with chocolate sauce. All that served in this plate taste so yummy and melt in my mouth.

Don't forget for Otel Lobby interesting promo. Don't missed it. Just book a table to get a nice place. Otel Lobby have Hell Hour for you to escape from worst Jakarta traffic or try ladies night at Wednesday or do you like music? Come in Weekend for live music.

Too bad, every-time I come here, I never get a chance to meet the fabulous Chef Maya Aldy who create these scrumptious dishes. Always have a happy tummy in Otel Lobby

Altitude at The Plaza : When Skyscraper Looks Amazing

A view weeks ago I've got an invitation from Altitude at The Plaza. It was an exclusive breakfasting invitation with several food blogger. Such a joy received the invitation.

Altitude placed in 46th floor at The Plaza Building Thamrin Jakarta. Altitude offer you experience dine in a high sky with Jakarta as a view. We can see Jakarta in 360 degree. Well, only from Altitude, traffic in Jakarta looks so damn fabulous.

There are 3 different kind of restaurants under Altitude. Each restaurant have their own concept.

SALT GRILL by Luke Mangan
Salt Grill 1st restaurant is in Sydney, Australia. Offering Australian signature dish. In Altitude Jakarta, Salt Grill leads by Chef Marjon ”MJ” Olguera who successfully bringing all the dish superb. With a skyscraper as a backdrop, enjoy dining in a fancy and elegant look of fine dining restaurant and bar.


ENMARU JAPANESE RESTAURANT
Enmaru is enhancing the experience of devouring delicious pub food. Get together in a modern, lively ambiance set in traditional Japanese decor in the heart of the city. Whether you just want to enjoy a great, freshly prepared food or ending a long day, Enmaru makes sure that the best meal is served at your table.
Entering Enmaru Restaurant, we can feel the authentic ambiance of Japanese. Enmaru really pay attention on details. It can see by their furniture and interiors. Dominated with wooden, Enmaru feel so earthy yet modern. Chef Takashi Tomie, is collaborated with Sous Chef Tsuchiya Yusuke to created the fabulous menu


GAIA by OSO RISTORANTE
Gaia is the best restaurant in town where you can find authentic Northern Italian cuisine. Gaia also a perfect place to have a good quality wine. The interior looks so elegant with a brown furniture make Gaia feel warmth and cozy. Executive Chef GAIA, Kenny Lim, is collaborated with Sous Chef asal Italia, Marco Caverni to invent a tasty menu.


Before the main dish, we offered Altitude beverages. Like always, I ordered something sour and fresh to balance my meal and I ended up with Virgin Mojito. And I have the right choose. It so freshening and great.

Foie Gras Chawanmushi

Foie Gras Chawanmushi by ENMARU Japanese Restaurant
I want to hugs Chef Tomie when I ate this chawanmushi. Because this is the best chawanmushi I ever had! I guess, 1 lil' glass that Enmaru served is never enough. It so blew me away. The texture is so soft so delicate and straight melt in my mouth. Not to forget the foie gras, they make it also so tender. Mixing between savory and sweet really a great start for tonight dining. You have to try it by yourself, so you know that I'm not just brag about this chawanmushi.


Assorted 5 Kinds of Sashimi by ENMARU Japanese Restaurant
This sashimi  consist of:

  •   Kinmedai (金目鯛) in Japanese means Golden Eyes Sea bream. The English name for it is splendid alfonsino.
  •   Ootoro is taken from the actual under-belly inside the tuna

  •   Kanpachi (間八): Greater amberjack, Seriola dumerili

  •  Uni: (雲丹, 海胆) gonad of Sea urchin; may come in different colors
  • Tsubugai (螺貝, ツブガイ): Whelk (Neptunea, Buccinum, Babylonia japonica)
All sashimi served really fresh and not fishy. Every sashimi is insanely delicious. Not just the taste, the presentation also so damn gorgeous. With the smokin' effect, make this dish looked so dramatic.

MAIN COURSE
Tonight's main course presented by Salt Grill by Luke Mangan

Fish to share: Stir fry of crab meat and shitake mushrooms, charsiu sauce, sugar peas and confit eschalot
The very juicy and delicate of Barramundi fish. It so well seasoning. Blend well with the mushroom. I had 2 portion for this barramundi hehehe... This barramundi is so heaven. Served with a very addictive mashed potato and salad. The salad consist of fresh Heirloom Tomato, Burrata cheese with basil red wine dressing

Boneless Chicken Leg Stuffed with Porcini Mushroom

Boneless Chicken Leg  taste a bit crispy outside and so tender at the meat. Stuffed with Porcini Mushroom and poured with with sauce make this dish is extremely great. Served with fresh asparagus.

Pannacota, Tiramisu and Orange Cake by GAIA Ristorante

Pannacota, Tiramisu and Orange Cake by GAIA Ristorante served in one plate. Really great  to end tonight dinner. From those 3 above, Pannacota suddenly become my favorite. Not because it melts in my mouth. But the texture is so smooth make me want it for more. Others also taste great. A smooth tiramisu, not too sweet and so great in my lickin'. Not too forget the fresh Orange cake. Taste mixed between souw and sweet. Great for ending.

ALCOHOL DRINK



Passion Fruit Ketel One Vodka
Before really ending the night, Altitude served us one of their alcohol drink. The presentation quite unique. Served in a copper kettle. I taste it for a sip. The taste is so surprising. Vodka mixed with passion fruit ended up with a freshening drink with not too kick vodka taste. It all well balance. 

I really had a great time having dinner in Altitude. Every restaurant have it's very owned signature dish and all really worth to try. Not just give us an experience to dine, but really spoiled us with a great view and a great food. I definitely will comeback here. Have a nice dinner with my hubby with a great view of Jakarta.

Otel Lobby

This is so late post from me. I should post it on Ramadhan season. But then, I get busy done many things before long holiday and then I got unwell for several days.Better late than never aight? Because I still want to spread to you about Otel Lobby menus.

Actually, this is not the 1st time I visit Otel Lobby. I used to go to Otel Lobby because I'm curious with their Beef Wellington. Now I heard, that they have several menus that worth to try. So here I am, back to Otel Lobby.




Since it's Ramadhan season, so Otel Lobby brought Ramadhan theme into their restaurant. Beside the ornaments like Bedug in the front lobby, I saw there are a lot of changes interior since the 1st time I visit Otel Lobby. The ambiance still hype  and retro look. But I guess, it looks more spacious and nice.

Mint Lime Crush - IDR 45.000
The responsible mojito for the designated driver or kids
I ordered this Mojito to anticipate all menu that we ordered. I always love the sourness from this Virgin Mojito. The lime make it more sour and the soda add freshness to this Mojito.

Celebrity Skin - IDR 45.000
Refreshing mint and cool cucumber with antioxidant rich pomegranate
What  an ear-catching name of this drink. The cucumber more dominated this drink than the pomegranate. But still freshening though.

Grilled Beef Tongue - IDR 125.000
Served with housemade kimchi, garlic fried rice
At  1st  I'm a bit not interested with this menu. But my curiosity beat all. I'm curious what it taste if tongue mixed with kimchi and the home made white sauce. The white sauce ( I forgot what it names) taste bland. But it became good when it paired with the tongue. The tongue is cooked well. So delicate and seasoned well. Kimchi is fermented cabbage and it's a traditional dish from Korea. Taste sour and spicy.

Bistro Burger (200gr) - IDR 85.000

With homemade sesame bun and fries
Ms Winta from Otel Lobby recommended this Bistro Burger. Well, usually when i ordered burger from non-specialized burger restaurant, the burger will taste so-so. But since Ms Winta told me that Otel have different kind of Burger, well... I have surrender. The patty is soo tender. I requested it to cook medium-well. The seasoning is really blend well with the patty with a a lot of mushroom chunk. Served with a generous big cut french fries that served in a cute can. Never underestimate Otel Lobby burger. hohooho

Fruit Pavlova - IDR 40.000

with vanilla meringue, pastry cream
Always curious with maringue. Usually if a chef not succeed making meringue, the texture would become chewy and dense. But then again, Otel Lobby meringue is so great. The texture is so soft and great. The fruits served fresh with pastry cream that too sweet for my licking. Also served with pineapple sauce.

Overall, never disappointed visiting Otel Lobby. Nice place, nice food and great hospitality. I surely will comeback here...
