EATOLOGY and SENDOKGARPU Anniversary

OMG! This is so late post from me. Terribly sorry because I have a lot to be done lately. But I'm still excited to share you all in this event that I attended which is Sendok Garpu Food Portal 7th Anniversary. This event was held at Eatology.

I know about Eatology since the 1st time their open their restaurant in Sabang Street. Since I just to blink my eye from my office to get to Eatology. First came to this restaurant nothing impress me and to be honest I'm quite dissapointed with their menus. For I dare my self to taste them again several month ago with my office mates, and I was so surprise that they already increase their dishes. Now the menu taste decent and well balance. So different with the 1st time I taste. Now I'm impress.

Eatology served many kind Western and Asian Food. From Steak, Rice to Pizza are served here. Entering the Eatology area, we can see their bar where there a cake display and choice of beverages.  With the wooden furniture and a greeny patio, Eatology looked so earthy and warm. Divided into two areas Indoor (where you can not smoke) and Outdoor (where you can smoke). Both really have nice place to sit.

After we seated in a long tables, we did some introducing with Sendok Garpu members and crew. Then, Eatology start to served their appetizer.

Onion Ring

A crispy onion ring was served hot that day. Taste pretty nice served with mayonnaise to make this onion ring more tasty. That day, this onion ring that make me can stop snacking it.

Salmon Skin

Taste decent. With a crispy texture and well coated. What I like about this salmon skin is that it's not fishy or oily. It also good if you pair it mayonnaise or barbeque sauce.

Edamame

If you want a light and healthy snack to start your dine here, you can choose this edamame. A very tender beans can make you not realize that you already eat all beans the whole plate.

Chicken Steak

 A tender chicken steak was served that day. It was perfectly cooked. So the texture is not dry and still juicy. Served with barbeque sauce and french fries for the side dish.

Club Sandwich

This sandwich is for the Eating Challange. The portion pretty huge. From the contestant hint, they said the taste quite good.

Ice Cream

Dessert! Strawberry and Vanilla Ice Cream complete my lunch that day.

At the end, it was such a great time attending SendokGarpu Anniversary. Hope you guys more success. And happy to be back to Eatology  again. Such a hospitality.

Holycow - Lunch at Rooftop Garden

After my last visit to Holycow #TKP Sabang, my hubby apparently mouthwatering looking at the steak picture. Since our office so close and I just need to blink from my office to Holycow #TKP Sabang, so here we are meet at  Holycow #TKP Sabang for lunch.

I choose sitting in the outdoor area. This is because, on my 1st visit I can really enjoyed the rooftop garden area due to a very hard rain. Even though the sun shine so bright outside, but I didn't feel to hot sitting outside. Maybe this is because the eco garden that they use.

After we seated, the waitress gave us bread stick as a compliment. The taste was so bland. But when I tried to dip in to the sauce, it pretty good hohooho...

Wherever Holycow located, my hubby always order Wagyu Rib Eye with mushroom sauce. The medium well of wagyu rib eye cooked perfectly. It blend together with the herbs. Taste juicy and tender.Served with french fries and  sauteed spinach.

For my self, I ordered Burger Wagyu or usually called Bergyu. I also ordered with medium well. The meat is so tender and juicy, mixed with cheese onion and mayonnaise all melted together in  my mouth. Not to forget, Holycow special sauce. I choose Buddy's Special to accompany my Bergyu. Served with french fries.

The Baked Goods

In one fine afternoon... me & my girls craving something good and light to eat. Finally, we decided to go to The Baked Goods. A bit curious with this place, since i can see The Baked Goods store from my office window.

The Baked Goods place in the corner of  H. Agus Salim (also known as Sabang), 1 area with  Sere Manis resto. The Baked Goods have a not too spacious place, but pretty convy to hangout. Split into 2 area, outdoor and indoor. At Indoor, we can find rack full of cookies display, then there are rack full of cookies that succeed making me drooling. They also have jars of testers. The cookies taste good.

Here are what we ordered...

Lemon Poppyseed 22

Sponge cake  with lemon glaze on top. What I like about this cake was, the cake so spongy and smooth. The poppy seed and the lemon glaze make this cake more unique.

Fruit Cake 28k

This one slice of fruit cake so full. It so tiny at appearance, topped with generous dry fruit. It's good at the beginning. But feel so full at the next bite.

Quiche Spinach Mushroom and Cheese 21k

The quiche to savory for me. Even the spinach and the mushroom didn't help much.  Also filled with the smoke beef.

Tuna Sandwich 18k

One slice of tuna sandwich... Uuumm.... this was just one bite at a time LOL... The filling also not so generous. The onion make the tuna loss the taste.

Dark Choco Pudding 15k

As appearance, nothing special with this pudding. Served with fla.

Hot Cokolada 25k

This hot chocolate really thick and too sweet. You even don't have to add some sugar no more. Enough for 2 actually. My friend ordered this for her own, and she can drink it all hahahha....
 

Vanilla Latte 39k & Caramel Latte 39k

Totally confused at first when this drink came to my tables. The server said, the vanilla latte is the one with much milk on top and the caramel latte with caramel syrup above. But when I drink it, the taste was so opposite LOL... The Vanilla Latte taste much more coffee than the caramel Latte and the caramel Latte just tasteless. I don't know whether they forgot to add the coffee or they add too much ice. Even when I tried to add some liquid sugar, it didn't help much....  

Overall, The Baked Goods cake was pretty good, eventhough still need improvement in several menus. The service also great. It worth to try.

G3 Cafe

Often walk in Sabang Street, but this is the 1st time I went there. Just curious. First came in, the server greet us, really friendly. I choose sitting next to window, left side of the entrance. G3 have 2 floor. 1st floor is not too big. with a row of sitting areas and a bar in the center.

I ordered Es Pisang Ijo (20k). Taste not bad. Tapi pisang nya sedikit keras ya. Trus lapisan pisang nya juga kurang empuk. Untuk bubur sumsum nya lembut, but a bit salty. Beneram deh. Disajikan dengan parutan es, red syrup dan susu cair.

My friend ordered Penacook with Ice Cream Vanilla Topping (17.5k). Adonan penacook nya kurang lembut, but it's forgiven dengan ice cream vanilla dan siraman chocolate melted nya.

For side dish, i also ordered Tahu Pong (10.5k). Tahu Pong berisi 4 buah disajikan hangat. Have you ever eat tahu sumedang? Yaa... the taste similar like that. Eat this with the spicy sauce. Saus nya seperti kuah mpek-mpek but more thick. Or I can say sambel kecap.

There was also the macaroni panggang (15k). This is so petite. Sekali hap hap langsung habiiss... Taste so so...

Overall, the meal is so so. The price is reasonable. The place and the service is good.

Cawan Putih

In one afternoon, me and my friends went to lunch to Cawan Putih. Ada nya di jalan Sabang. Etalase nya sengaja ditaro di bagian depan, dipenuhi dengan sederetan pempek berbagai jenis, sehingga mau tak mau semua orang yang melewati resto Cawan Putih pasti menengok.

Tempat nya tidak terlalu besar. Deretan kursi nya bahkan cenderung rapat-rapat. Biasa nya kalo jam makan siang, Cawan Putih selalu ramai dikunjungi pengunjung. Di dinding nya penuh dengan pajangan foto-foto dari menu Cawan Putih.

Cawan Putih menawarkan menu utama berupa pempek. Yang ukuran besar ada pempek kapal selam dan Lenjer. Ada juga berbagai macam pempek dengan ukuran kecil seperti adaan, kulit, kapal selam kecil, lenjer kecil dan banyak lagi lain nya.

Rasa pempeknya enak. Tidak keras. Disajikan bersama mie kuning, irisan timun dan bubuk ebi. Kuah nya disajikan terpisah. Hati-hati ya kalo makan kuah nya. Karena tanpa diberi sambal sekalipun, rasa kuah nya sudah pedas sekali.

Selain menu pempek, Cawan Putih juga menawarkan menu nasi dengan lauk pindang. Salah satu nya adalah Pindang Ikan Patin (badan). Rasa kuah nya asam-asam segar. Ikan nya tidak berasa amis. Disajikan panas diatas wadah dengan kompor kecil dibawah nya.

Minuman yang disajikan juga beragam. Saya memesan Es Kacang Merah karena tidak sengaja melihat gambar nya dipajang di dinding *latah banget yaahhh*. Kacang merah nya empuk, disajikan dengan potongan agar-agar, es serut dan ditaburi dengan susu coklat (dari rasa nya ini pasti susu coklat kalengan)

Ada juga menu Juice disini. Teman saya iseng mencampurkan buah sesuai selera saya meski itu ngga ada di daftar menu *act like a superstar aja deehh*. Juice yang dipesan adalah campuran buah sirsak dan strawberry. Rasanya? Endeess... Seger banget. Sedikit asam dan manis.

Overall, the food was good, and also the service. But you have to be passion if come at lunch hour. It often full.
