Celebrate your Valentines Day at OH LA LA

For you who love to eat fresh bread and cake, you must know about Oh La La. So I think I don;t have to introduce it to you again aight? Because I can't wait to spread to you the scrumptious menu. With a French Casual Dining, Oh La La offered us not only a good place to dine but also a good food for you too choose.

Placed in Kota Kasablanka,   Oh La La has 40 seat capacity for outdoor and 35 capacity for indoor. If you not smoking, better you seat indoor. But if you don't mind with smoke, you can seat outside and can see Kasablanka street for the view.

We can peek their kitchen behind this frame. It just like a moving painting aight?

Like I mentioned earlier above, I'll spread you Valentines Day Package that Oh La La have. They have a very fantastic offer this time. APPETIZER

Baked potato jacket that served with chilli con carne, Mozzarella Stick with Marinara Sauce that really really when it's warm so we still can taste the melted mozzarella in our mouth then the last is the Gratin Chicken Avocado with barbeque sauce that be my most like from the appetizer plate that day.

MAIN COURSE

PAN SEARED DORY PRIMAVERA
Pan Seared Dory Primavera served with Pesto Spaghetti. The spaghetti cooked aldente and the dory fish fillet also tender and not fishy. I like well balance from the marinara sauce. It taste a bit tangy from the tomato and a bit spicy.

ROAST CHICKEN SCALOPPINI POTATO and RATATOUILLE
Roast Chicken is so tender. The taste is decent. The skin is crisp and the sauce soak well into the chicken. The ratatouille a bit overcooked but still taste good. Mix well with the scaloppini that taste a bit bland. Overall this roasted chicken quite good.

BEEF WELLINGTON with SCALLOP POTATO and MIX VEGETABLE
A dish that consist of sirloin beef and fried mushroom poured with gravy sauce. Served with potato that filled with scallop and ratatouille.
The appearance to me is more look like a beef pastry than the beef wellington I usually eat and see. But this one taste pretty good. The is tender and the pastry quite moist. It crisp in the outside. But there's something from the pastry that missing. Not too fluffy in the inside.

Looks like Oh La La don't have any standard for each menu consistency.  Because when I asked my friend in the different table, some said the Beef Wellington was tender and other said it was chewy and not nice. That also happened with the Roast Chicken, in our table the taste is nice but my friend's chicken  taste a bit salty.

But overall, the main course served was decent and quite good to try.

DESSERT

ASSORTED SLICE OF CAKE
Lemon & Peach Cake taste good. Not too sweet, pretty moist, but the weird thing is, why they put blueberry sauce as a mix. It would be great if they put lemon or peach sauce.
Opera Cake taste nice. Moist and smooth. The layer is good. Really melt in my mouth
Strawberry Shortcake taste pretty good. The cheese filling quite nice. But the cake not too fluffy.

Overall, Oh La La still on the track to serve their yummy and scrumptious menu. So many selection of cakes, cookies, bread or any main course that can make your drooling. Just prove it  by yourself.

Bonchon - Take Me To The Next Level (from Citywalk Branch)

Last Saturday on April 14th 2012, for the 2nd time I was invited by Bonchon Chicken. Why I'm interested to join this event? Because Mr. Rizal, from Bonchon said in email that their going to improve their chicken and there are also several menus to introduce. Hhhhmm... sound nice...

Bonchon still consistent with their motto, that they use the fresh chicken, no sugar added in the seasoning (they use fruit extract) and no greasy chicken in it skin.

Food testing this time took place in Citywalk, the former mall in Sudirman. The place was not too spacious, but convy enough to eat and hangout. Split in 2 areas, indoor and outdoor, you can't smoke in this both area.

Chicken Spicy Wrap - 20k

This chicken spicy wrap really serious. Serious in the spicy things. For spicy lovers, you gonna love this. But, since I'm not to stand with spicy, this was too much for me. It burned my tongue. Seriously. The chicken chunk was tender, mixed with veggies and onion.

Bulgogi Wrap - 20k

Bulgogi is a former signature dish from Korea. The taste a bit savory and salty, which was good. The beef was so tender mixed well with the seasoning, onion and veggies.

Original Chicken Wrap was not to savory. Even, I can say it was a bit plain.The combination still the same. Chicken chunk, onion and veggies.

Spicy Bonchon Chicken

From my last time visit to Bonchon, I guess Bonchon really made improvement a lot with their chicken. Because the chicken was more crispy, less greasy and more tasty. For chicken and bites menu not as spicy as the chicken wrap. So I dare to eat this hoohoho... I like this one...

Yoshinoya - Great Price Great Food

First I'm a bit curious with this resto. Because when I passed this Resto, the line always full. To fulfill my curiosity,  then I tried it. Yoshinoya di Grand Indonesia cukup luas. Kita bisa duduk dengan venue alley ataupun venue fountain.

Yoshinoya adalah sebuah restaurant yang menyajikan menu masakan Jepang. Meski harga nya murah, tapi rasa nya ngga murahan. I had a very nice food here. Porsi nya juga besar dan mengenyangkan.

Teriyaki Chicken Bowl

This Teriyaki Chicken Bowl contained with chicken cutlets that taste really crisp outside and so tender inside. Diberi siraman saus teriyaki on top of the chicken dan disajikan bersama sayuran segar. Tekstur sauce nya sedikit kental dan rasa nya agak manis. But it's nice mixed with the chicken. Porsi nya sedang menurut saya. Tidak terlalu banyak dan juga sedikit.

Beef Yakiniku Bowl

Sama seperti Chicken teriyaki, beef yakiniku disajikan dengan sayuran. Beef nya lebih sedikit porsi nya dibanding ayam nya. Potongan nya tidak terlalu besar, naum tekstur daging nya empuk sekali. This was also good to try.

Combo Bowl

Jika ingin porsi yang lebih besar, cobalah memesan Combo Bowl. Combo Bowl disini berisi original or yakiniku beef, teriyaki chicken also with the vegies. Nasi nya juga banyak, disesuaikan dengan menu pendamping nya.

Try this chicken Karage for side dish. A bit like siomay, Crisp outside and tender inside.

Chicken Teriyaki Bowl Package dan Beef Yakiniku Bowl Pakage ini isi nya cukup lengkap, dengan 3 pcs of side dish like egg roll, chicken karage and ebi fry. Served with miso soup and Ocha as a drink.

Diatas meja Yoshinoya, terdapat 3 macam sauce, tomato sauce, sauce untuk menu gorengan dan sauce untuk menu bowl nya. I love ate those food with dry chilli and ginger. More tasty.

Untuk minum, sebagai penetral, i choose Ocha, yaitu teh khas jepang, choose whether you want it hot or cold and it's free flow.

Overall, I love Yoshinoya. Not too Expensive, but have a great taste. The service also really nice. Love it

711 for heavy breakfast

Seven Eleven (Sevel) nowadays sudah menjamur. Setiap sudut jalan pasti ada warna Hijau putih merah terang benderang. dengan logo angka 7 besar di tengah nya.

One day I had a very full breakfast at Sevel. Rada bingung mau makan apa at 1st. Karena Sevel mempunyai banyak pilihan menu cepat saji yang enak-enak. Mulai dari roti, snacks, big bite hotdog sampai frozen food yang bisa minta dihangatkan ketika ingin disantap.

Menu yang saya order adalah BigBite HotDog Blackpepper, which was a big blackpepper beef yang rasa nya enaakk. Add some chilli and cheese yuumm...

Then I took beef sandwich dari lemari pendingin nya. Langsung minta dihangatkan dan siap disantap. Sandwich nya terdiri atas 4 lapis roti yang dipotong berbetuk segitiga. Contain beef, cheese and vegetables. The taste was not bad.

Untuk beverages, Sevel also have many varieties. The popular one is Slurpee. A frozen cold drink yang berasa Coca cola, Fanta, Mirinda etc. For hot, beside coffee and tea, there are several drinks like Hot Chocolate, Ginger Latte and Teh Tarik. We can pour some tiramisu, rum, lemon, strawberry etc into our drinks.

Overall, I like it here. Tempat santai-santai for quick meal and not so expensive. Mau pagi, siang, malam Sevel selalu bisa diandalkan untuk tempat makan darurat

Burger King with The Queen

Since I declare want to do a diet (wannabe) I seldom eat fast food. But this time, I really can't stand myself. Niatnya sih cuma nemenin temen-temen ajah... Tapi melihat sederet menu di Burger King, I never can resist.

Burger King Skyline Building adalah salah satu branch yang peling sering saya kunjungi. Selain dekat dengan kantor, tempat nya juga sangat nyaman. Ada 2 entrance menuju Burger King. Satu lewat front door next to Starbucks, another through entrance next to Pizza Hut.

What I love in Burger King is Mushroom & Swiss Burger (Rp 38.182 - Package). Mixing between the mushroom melted cheese and it's tender beef was soo yummy.  I also tried the new menu at Burger King (at least I just knew about this menu) named Angus Burger. It has a big size. Contained Smoked Bacon and Chedda. Also added smoked bacon and cheddar cheese and finally surrounded it with crisp lettuce, tomato and onion, salad and creamy mayonnaise. How is that full?

Not too forget the side dish. Usually Burger King gave the french fries as a side dish in one package. But I often switch it with Onion Ring. This onion ring was really crisp. The breaded flour coated it onion well.

As a dessert, I ordered Hersheys Sundae Pie.This one is a heaven for chocolate lover. The pie itself taste like brownies. It was good, it was crust, but really smooth when you eat it. Blend in with chocolate filling, then top it off with whipped cream and Chocolate Chips also choco sauce. *gleekk

Overall, I love eating here in Burger King. The patty taste fresh, the side dish was crisp & crunchy, the dessert was great and with the great place with great service. Never can resist Burger King.

BonChon Chicken

On Saturday, I was invited to taste a fried chicken from Korea. First thing in my mind, fried chicken? What the different with another fried chicken that already exist in town. Promosi nya adalah, BonChon pretty sure that they have healthy kind of fast food. With no greasy things under the skin. Hhmm... let's prove it.

BonChon first open was in Korea in 2002. Now in 2012, BonChon here in Jakarta offering a chicken menu that different than others. Dengan mengambil tema like a workshop, BonChon menghadirkan suasana tempat makan yang santai. Ada dua sitting area here, outside and inside BonChon.

BonChon Chicken have 3 size of chicken that we can pick. Small, Medium dan Large, dengan pilihan bagian ayam yang bisa kita pilih sesuai selera. There are wings, drumstick, thigh and strips. We also can mix the wings and drumstick.

For starter there's Chicken Salad. It's a vegetables with  chicken strips on it. The freshness of the vegetables blend in together with the crisp of the chicken. Eat it with the thousand island as the dressing.

Original Chciken by Bonchon. Potongan ayam nya not too big. But the taste is good. and the thing is, there's no greasy in it. Hohoho... BonChon not lie... The chicken was so tender.

Not to forget try the spicy chicken wings. The spicy in the chicken was really tasty. Bumbu nya sangat terasa. And the skin really crisp.

Selain ayam, BonChon also served Fish. The Dory fish that BonChon have was make me in love. The fish was so tender. Bumbu nya lebih terasa. Because i usually don't like fish too much.

Bumbu ayam dan ikan nya hana terasa in the skin and tasteless in the meat. Ternyata according to BonChon, bumbu yang meresap terlalu banyak, justru akan semakin membuat minyak meresap kedalam daging more deep. Which is not good. But i don't mind. Since the sauce it self already good.

For side dish, we had french fries. Add some salt if you think it's less salt. Served in a small cup, BonChon fries taste different than other resto had.

For beverages, it's common things. Like lemon tea, softdrink, mineral water and bottle juice.

But i kinda like the dessert. It called Mochi Ice Cream. The mochi dough was so smooth. When we bite is there's vanilla ice cream in it. Yuuummm... Small bite make me curious...

Overall, BonChon Chicken worth to be visit. It's a great optional if you want to eat fried chicken with a healthy way. A small bite with a big taste. You should come here hungry peoples...
